Lot 113: Antique Wooden Jointer Plane 15 7/8"

Description

A substantial antique wooden jointer/jack plane, measuring 15 7/8 inches long by 2 7/8 inches wide, crafted from solid hardwood with a rich aged patina throughout. The plane features a carved horn-style front grip and rear tote handle, along with its original steel/iron blade and wooden wedge. This larger plane would have been used for truing long edges and flattening boards in traditional hand woodworking. A great find for collectors of antique woodworking tools, vintage carpentry equipment, or those building a working or display collection of wooden hand planes.

Condition: Overall good antique condition consistent with a well-used working tool. Wood body shows expected age-related drying cracks, surface wear, and darkened patina throughout, shown in photos. Blade and wedge appear present and intact — please examine all photos closely to assess functional sharpness/condition before use.
