Description

Genuine hand-blown Japanese glass fishing float in a rich amberina/orange tone, measuring approximately 3" in diameter. The float retains its original small paper "Japan" label, along with the seal button (the small rounded pontil mark where the glass was sealed after the air-filling process), a hallmark of authentic period hand-blown construction. Originally used by fishermen to keep nets afloat, these floats are highly collectible, particularly in warmer color variations like this one. A lovely decorative piece for a nautical or beach house collection.
