Vintage seltzer/soda siphon bottle ("sifón de soda") with a glass body encased in a protective aluminum sleeve, pierced with oval cutout windows that reveal the deep green glass beneath. Fitted with its original brass syphon head, lever-action dispensing arm, and spout. The aluminum casing is engraved "DOMINGO FERRARO, GUAMINI 2041, 68-6437, CONT. NETO 1 L., ENV. NO NEG., INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA" — Guaminí is a town in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, and this text identifies the regional soda bottler who owned and refilled the bottle, along with the net contents and a notice that the container ("envase") remained the bottler's property rather than being sold to the customer. This reflects the refillable-siphon soda-delivery system common across Argentina and other parts of South America and Europe through the mid-20th century. A companion piece in style and era to a previously listed siphon bottle from the Perdriel/Arequito region. Measures approximately H: 12".

Condition Report:

Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age and use as a refillable soda bottle. The aluminum casing shows scattered surface scratches, oxidation, and light staining typical of long service, and the base shows some lifting/separation of the aluminum casing from the glass at the seam (visible in the base photo) along with mineral deposits on the interior glass. The brass syphon head shows expected tarnish. Please note this listing is for the bottle as a decorative/collectible object; functionality of the siphon mechanism is not guaranteed.
