An instructional ceramics text covering pottery techniques, illustrated with historical and craft photography, including a frontispiece image of a fifth-century B.C. Greek kalyx krater from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The front free endpaper bears a period ownership signature reading "Camilla Gardner."
