Lot of four antique carte-de-visite (CDV) format photographs, each a studio portrait of a different gentleman, mounted on period card stock. The reverse sides carry printed photographer studio backmarks, including Baldwin & Stevens of Columbus, Ohio (81 South High Street), Fred S. Crowell, Photographic Artist, of Zanesville, Ohio, and an ornate blue wreath-style stamp reading "Povilla." Based on the CDV format and studio marks, these likely date to the second half of the 19th century. Each card measures approximately W: 2.4", L: 4". A nice small lot for antique photography and Ohio ephemera collectors.

Condition Report:

Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age. The cards show overall toning, edge wear, and light corner softening typical of CDV photographs of this age. No major tears or losses noted. The photographic images show typical fading and warm sepia toning consistent with period photographic processes.
