Description:

Small hand-formed clay figurine of a goose or duck in a preening pose, head curved down toward its back, glazed in mottled tan-brown tones with incised feather detailing, standing atop a textured green grassy mound base. The hand-built, somewhat rustic modeling is consistent with traditional Chinese folk clay mud figures. Measures 1 3/4" tall. A nice small addition for bird and folk art figurine collectors.

Condition Report:

Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age. No chips or cracks noted. The glaze shows expected texture and minor pooling variation consistent with the glazing technique rather than damage.
