Classic mid-century glossy black ceramic panther sculpture, shown in a crouched, stretching pose with head lowered, formed as a "TV lamp" — a decorative sculptural lamp designed to sit atop television sets in the 1950s to reduce eye strain in darkened rooms. Fitted with a light socket mount on the rear and a cloth-covered cord with a period two-prong plug. This panther/black cat form was one of the most iconic and widely produced American TV lamp designs of the era. Measures H: 9", W: 6", L: 12". A fun statement piece for mid-century collectors.
