Description:

A hand-thrown stoneware pitcher with a green drip glaze over an unglazed lower body, left in the raw clay to contrast with the glazed upper portion. The glaze pools and streaks down from the rim in varying shades of green with darker brown and gray-black accents, a decorative effect achieved by controlled glaze application and firing rather than uniform coverage. The pitcher has a generous C-scroll handle and a pinched pouring spout, both practical forms common to studio and small-workshop pottery production. No maker's mark is visible on the underside.

Condition Report:

Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age. No visible chips or cracks. The unglazed lower body shows expected surface wear and light staining consistent with the raw clay finish and age of the piece.
